Did you miss this guy? I seriously can’t remember when was the last time I posted something about him. I know I promised I’ll keep you updated on his progress and I do – on social media. Not so much here so for today, let’s keep the blog about him since he owns part of this site too 🙂
These are photos of some of his therapy sessions. It took us a a few months of resting before he finally went back to PT. He did great and luckily, he’s more cooperative now than before. He finished the session but eventually got tired trying to stand up nearly before the session ends – I’d say it’s a good job, baby! We also started him on Occupational Therapy and since it’s the first session, he was kind of not liking it yet. It will take him a while to recognize her therapist, the new environment and the fact that he has to deal with 1 toy at a time – he likes to have them all and he likes throwing them all.
Around the house, he’s the boss. He’s cheeky and he likes to be surrounded by everyone. He loves his sisters and he looks up to them and the girls adore him to pieces. By day, he loves to be in the playground – this is where he gets the best exercise. I let him play around, get dirty and encourage him to do the physical things he want to do. He’s not yet walking but he’s getting there. One of the biggest milestone he has done so far is trying to eat a few solids – we give rice when he can tolerate it and Gerber puffs when he feels like chewing something. He can’t hear us because he has severe to profound hearing loss but he has his ways of telling us what he want.
This is him from the last hearing test – where his diagnosis didn’t change from the last 2 years. We’re ready for that and we got him his hearing aids too so he can hear and finally get to learn more! I am anxiously waiting to hear when it arrives. It may happen this week.
The gang – minus me since I took the photo and the space was too small for all of us. 🙂
He is growing so fast! It will be wonderful to receive his hearing aids. I am glad he’s able to eat some solid foods. All the best to you and your family. Thanks so much for the update!
The last photos I saw of this little guy was when he was a baby. He looks great and I bet he’ll pick up new things a lot easier when he has his hearing aids. You have such a lovely family. Thanks for the update.
Thank you sweetie! It’s amazing to see so many people who have seen him when he was just a baby fighting for his life. It will be lovely to do a post of him when he can already hear 🙂
He’s getting so handsome, like his dad. I wish the best for you and your lovely family. And thanks for the update.
Thank you so much!
How fantastic to have an update. He is gorgeous Mye and you can see the love you all have for each other. Thank you.
Thank you Leanne – he is well loved for sure! 🙂
