When I started online, I set the bar so low. I never really imagined having a creative business, let alone making it our main source of income. I started with blogging in 2007, found myself in digital scrapbooking and eventually opened my very first online store in 2009.
After the birth of my son in 2012, I was unable to design because I had to look after him and bring him to weekly therapies, check-ups, laboratory tests, doctor's appointments. It was emotionally, physically and financially draining.
To keep my sanity, I turned to hand-lettering and started sharing my work without expecting anything. I began gaining traction and 6 months after, I landed my first paid lettering project. Everything snowballed from there.
When I learned I could make money doing something I love, I realized that it's possible to dream bigger. I started teaching others what I do and I fell in love with helping others.
