Happy Thanksgiving!
There are so many things that happened this year – unexpected passing of my father-in-law, health issues for almost every member of my, financial setback. But, there are a lot more things to be thankful for as well! We were able to hire a caregiver for my little boy, a new and permanent job for my husband, new learning adventures for my girls, new clients and licensing for me! I can’t count the blessings and despite all the problems we have faced this year, we are still thankful for everything – family who is always there to give love and support, old friends, new friends whom I met because of my son’s condition (they’ve become part of my therapy too and my source of strength and inspiration). I’m thankful for a loving husband who has been very patient with me. I’m not an easy wife so him staying by my side through these years is something I definitely appreciate.
This year, our girls turned 10 and they have grown to be beautiful and talented little girls – they like to speak up and express what’s on their minds, they love drawing, painting and most of all, computers! The apples did not fall far from the tree.
Alphonse started walking too, it took a whole 2 years 5 months for him to be able to walk and we can’t be thankful enough that it happened. It was indeed a milestone to celebrate. He will have a lot more challenges to face in the coming years but we will always be by his side.
I have closed 2 major licensing this year (which is one of my goals for 2015!) and more in progress.
It may look though as it was an easy year. It wasn’t. However, I have learned to look and focus on the good things instead of the bad. This makes it easier to move on and really appreciate what life has to offer.
Being thankful is being happy with what you have.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
