What is a STACK in digital scrapbooking?

It is actually when you put things together, one over the other creating a stacked effect. It can be stacks of papers or a combination of papers and elements. Let’s take a look at these 2 examples.

Example 1

The first example shows you how papers can be put together and create a stacked effect. You may rotate, resize and play around the views until you are satisfied.

Example 2

The second example has been made almost the same, except that elements were added over and under some of the papers to create an even better look and the shadows on those elements added more volume to the page.

What are the benefits of stacking?

Not everyone wants complicated pages but there are digital scrapbookers who love to play around with almost all papers and embellishments as much as they can and this technique allow them to do that. Let’s take a look at some fresh layouts from the team to give you a little inspiration

Natascha used my Autumn Afternoon kit to create a stacked layout using the template. She used a combination of solid and patterned papers in her paper stacks.

Gloria exclusively used patterned papers from my Sew Happy Together kit to create her page. She used the template with alternating papers and elements on stacks and added a few more layers of flowers and leaves to create her desired look.

TIP: One of the advantages of digital scrapbooking is being able to play around the pieces without damaging your layout because it can be done all over again so play around the look you want until you are satisfied.
