It’s Day 1 and today, I fell in love with mushrooms and fungi.

I was looking for some inspiration to draw today and went digging into the fridge and found some mushrooms. Unfortunately, those weren’t enough to get the inspiration flowing so I dove into Pinterest and did more research and I couldn’t believe my eyes, there are thousands of amazing photos in there. Needless to say, I started working on it while the little boy takes his nap today and I came out with these.

There is one thing I learned today – I have to draw more carefully specially the lines. I tried scanning this and some of the lines were no longer visible after the trace. I might have a second set coming to give these babies more justice.

I’ve began listing my potential subjects in the coming days and it’s pretty exciting.
